I've been getting in to my habit of painting in a more frequent way. And with that, just like magic, flowers started to appear in my art. I have not painted flowers since I moved to the U.S. from Puerto Rico two and a half years ago. I think in my mind, I was trying to avoid the feeling of painting them, because they reminded me of home.
After Hurricane Maria, and the struggle in the island, I needed to feel close to home. I think my heart needed to paint flowers because it reminds me of Puerto Rico.
I added a couple of pieces to my shop. They are bold and vibrant flowers that remind me of "Mi Casa." Take a look at them, I think you will enjoy it!
