I'll be showing some new pieces of work in an upcoming show "H2O" in City Arts Factory in Downtown Orlando. It's open to general public from March 17 through April 15. I'll be happy if you attend.

My theme would be the Ocean...being an Island girl from Puerto Rico, the Ocean was very present in my life. I lived my teen's years through my youth in Dorado, a small town in the north of the Island. The Beach was my backyard, and I almost had dreadlocks...Salty water does that to your hair you know.

Now I live in Florida, and I'm not far from the sea...also, basicly I'm swimming in the same water. Do you know that Ocean Currents makes water travel from my Island to Florida? Just google North Equatorial Current, South Equatorial Current and the Gulf Stream. At least, that is what I think...for some piece of mind.

So, my drop of water is in the Ocean...my Gift...My Art..

I've been working in a few new pieces of art...hopefully I will be showing them in an upcoming exhibition. The process has being interesting.

"Inspiration is for amateurs; the rest of us just show up and get to work. If you wait around for the clouds to part and a bolt of lightning to strike you in the brain, you are not going to make an awful lot of work. All the best ideas come out of the process; they come out of the work itself. Things occur to you. If you're sitting around trying to dream up a great art idea, you can sit there a long time before anything happens. But if you just get to work, something will occur to you and something else will occur to you and something else that you reject will push you in another direction. Inspiration is absolutely unnecessary and somehow deceptive. You feel like you need this great idea before you can get down to work, and I find that's almost never the case.”
