Wanda Torres

I just received in my mail an invitation for Wanda Torres exhibition in Paris.  Wanda is from Puerto Rico and she majored in painting and illustration at the Columbus College of Art & Design, in Ohio. Wanda has been an art teacher, freelance illustrator and exhibiting artist. After receiving the Alfonso Arana Foundation grant for an artist residency in Paris, she established her studio in that city. In France, she has studied printmaking with Mireille Baltar and digital art with Catherine Nyeki. Her work can be found in public and corporate collections in Puerto Rico, and private ones in Europe and the USA.

I wish I could go to Paris and visit this excellent exhibition thats inspired by Julia de Burgos.  Wanda has a very unique form of painting, transmitting her feeling through the paint on to the canvas. Maybe one day I can take a workshop with her.

If you happened to read this, and you are in Paris, please, be sure to visit her "Julias" at Espace A.C.I..  I wish her all the best, she's taking Puerto Rico to new places with her art!!!

Visit her blog to know about her adventures in Paris, and her web page to see some of her work.

Thanks for stopping by!!!
